Kiyikoy (Midye) is another holiday resort town with good accommodations and picturesque dwellings from the Middle Ages; the town and its land walls date from the Byzantine period. Located on a rocky ground overlooking the Black Sea, Kiyikoy Town is located between two natural sites that are wonders of nature. Pabucdere in the north and Kazandere in the south flow into the Black Sea.
Trout, carp and mullet can be caught in these streams, both of which are registered as Grade I natural protected areas, and you can take a ride by motor or boat. There is a narrow, long and clean beach between Pabucdere and the sea, and camping can be set up here in the summer months. Apart from the beautiful fish restaurants and cafes for daily use, there are also accommodation opportunities in Kiyikoy. Home boarding is at an advanced level. Kiyikoy beaches, whose sea water temperature varies between 20-26 °C, are 96 kilometers from Kirklareli, 40 kilometers from Vize, and 200 kilometers from Istanbul.
Kiyikoy provides tourists coming to the region with the opportunity to eat fish fresh from the sea, to take a boat ride on its beach and in Pabucdere and Kazandere, as well as to visit some civilizations. Its historical monuments are the Byzantine Period Kiyikoy Castle (6th century Justinian Period), Hagia Nikola monastery (6th century), Kiyikoy Mosque and Harbor Bath, which is a structure of the Late Ottoman Period, and many examples of civil architecture in the castle.
