It is a lovely village on the way from Beykoz to Shile on the Anatolian Side of Istanbul. In the 18th century, it was formed by the Poles who took refuge in the Ottoman State for political reasons. Polenezkoy is set in the middle of a highly fertile nature and has the greatest gift it offers to its visitors is its natural beauty and oxygen-filled air.
