THE BICYCLE FESTIVAL
This festival is held in May, organised by the Bodrum Nature Sports Club (BODOSK) and conducted thanks to the sponsorship and support of other state and civil institutions. This year it was held for the third on May 25. The target of the festival is summarised in its slogan of “Hand in hand for a Bodrum free of exhaust, get on bicycles”. The festival starts in Neyzen Tevfik Street and, after following several bicycle trails, ends at the Quay Centre. The festival, which has other activities and displays such as acrobats, dance shows, and live music performances, attracts large crowds.

CAMEL RIDES: If one of your dreams to have a ride on camel, go to Ortakent Yahsi Beach. You can get there by Daily Boat Trips or by minibus going to Ortakent even to yahsi where you have great choise for camel ride. Water To be on the safe side, Drink always bottled water in Turkey. bottled water is sold everywhere and reasonably prised.

DAILY MARKET : Milas and Bodrum on Tuesdays, Ortakent on Wednesdays, Yalikavak on Thursdays, Bitez and Bodrum on Fridays and Turgutreis on Saturdays.

WATERSPORTS : Every beach around Bodrum Peninsula has a huge variety to cater for all ages.

WINDSURFING : Particulary popular on the south side of the bodrum peninsula where the winds are stronger during the morning. Rental usually by the hour and available at Bitez beach.

The Traditional Wooden Boat Races The races, held every third Sunday of October.
