International Dalaman Airport, Code: DLM. located within the borders of Dalaman town, 6 km from the district center, is one of the three airports serving in the southwest of Turkey, other airports serving in the region are Bodrum Airport and Antalya Airport. International Flights are generally used by foreign tourists who come to have a holiday in and around the Mugla region and Turkish Citizens living abroad, while domestic flights serve incoming and departing passengers around Dalyan, Hisaronu, Gocek 24 km, Fethiye 50 km, Marmaris 89 km, Oludeniz, Ovacik, Kas, Kalkan and Dalaman.
The airport has two terminals, the old terminal with a capacity of 3,000,000/year with an open area of 21,588 m² is used for domestic flights, the new terminal with an open area of 96,417 m² with a capacity of 5,000,000/year is used for international flights, there is a parking lot with a capacity of 393 cars and 289 buses outside the terminal building. There are offices of airline companies in the domestic terminal building, as well as 2 souvenir shops, 1 book, newspaper store and 3 restaurants.
There is also a VIP lounge in the domestic terminal building that serves high-level guests. Transportation is provided by Bus, Shuttle, Taxi, Municipality City Public Transportation Vehicle, HAVAS and MUTTAS. You can easily get to Dalaman from Mugla – Fethiye highway. There are buses that run here every day from all major cities. Those who come by plane land at the Dalaman Airport. The international airport also has domestic flights from cities such as Ankara and Istanbul.
